NAPA  SUNSET

12 x 24
oil/stretched canvas/framed
$300

I took this photo from the front porch of the house we were using in Napa, CA.  There were four wonderful, black rockers on the massive front porch, facing out over rows and rows of grapevines.  The grapevines didn't photograph well and it was the time of year when there were no grapes as yet, so it was better to leave that area unadorned and focus on the amaaaazing hills across the way.

The sun was setting behind the house and had gone down low enough to shade the space leading up the hills, so while the sun was still illuminating the red-rock cliffs and bright green rolling hills, the contrasts were wonderful. Every time I look at this it takes me right back to that front porch, sitting with my husband and our friends enjoying a great glass of wine (what else would one drink in Napa?!?!), perfect weather, lots of laughs and dreams of spending much more time in Napa/Sonoma.
